Terms of use

Parendi is a Mac app, free to download and unlocked with a single in-app purchase. These terms say in ordinary words what you are buying.

The licence

Buying Parendi gets you a licence to use it on your own Macs. Behind that stands Apple's standard licence agreement, the one every app in the store is sold under. It also covers warranty, liability and the law that applies. Nothing on this page narrows it, and where the two disagree, Apple's wording counts.

Trial and purchase

You can try Parendi for 30 days, counted from your first import rather than the install. You can extend the trial once by another 30 days, inside the app. After that you can still read, search, copy and back up your data until you buy; importing, adding and editing need the purchase.

The purchase is a one-off, with no subscription, and unlocks everything; the app and the store page show the price. Family Sharing does not cover it. Refunds run through Apple, because Apple is who sold it to you.

Your data

Everything stays on your Mac. The app writes backups to the folder you choose; if that folder is in iCloud Drive, Apple's terms cover that part. Parendi works with what your bank statements say and gives no tax or investment advice.

Updates

New versions arrive through the App Store, and your Mac installs them the way it installs any other update. Nothing expires, an old version keeps running, and there is no way for me to turn off a copy from a distance.

When these terms change, the date below changes with them. Questions and corrections go to support@parendi.app.
