O que mudou no Parendi.

A wording fix in the German interface: the category settings and the Spending view now say "Fixkosten" throughout. The English interface is unchanged.

• Parendi no longer asks for your country on first launch. It takes currency and number format from your Mac, wherever you live, and "What happens next" tells you what it will use.
• You pick the currency yourself in Settings under General, for instance when your account runs in a different currency from the one your Mac assumes. If you change your Mac's number format later, "Use Mac Number Format" brings it over. Existing books look exactly as before.
• Starting fresh outside Switzerland, Germany and Austria, you get keywords for brands such as Netflix, Spotify, IKEA and Booking.com, and Net Worth has a restricted retirement account next to the ETF.
• With the English interface, the transfer category in new databases is called "Transfers" instead of "Credit Card".
• Two messages now name the labels that actually appear in the app.

• Statements in OFX and QFX format now go in with no mapping. Banks in the US, Canada, Australia and Brazil offer them alongside CSV, and as with camt.053 you don't assign a single column: the file even says whether it belongs to an account or a card.
• On card statements with English transaction text, Parendi now recognises the payment of the card bill as a transfer. It used to count as a credit in a spending category and pushed that category's total below zero.
• Transactions your bank sends without any text now come along. This mostly affects cheques and cash withdrawals in OFX files, which used to drop out of the statement without a word.
• Statements with empty fields, an angle bracket in the transaction text or a missing closing tag are read in full. Before, the transaction after it could disappear.

• When importing, the AI now looks at your most frequent merchants instead of the first 40 transactions. If you bring in several years at once, far more of them come back sorted: measured on a yearly statement of 1000 rows, 40 transactions before, 421 now. The wait stays the same. There are still 40 requests, but each one covers a merchant rather than a single row, and on a card statement with few merchants that is often enough for all of it.
• The note in the import preview now also gives the number of distinct merchants. It only appears when something really will be left in the catch-all category.

• A refund on the credit card now reduces the spending of its category instead of being left out. When you search for a merchant, the panel on the right shows the net spending and, below it, the sum of the credits. This applies to your whole history, so spending in past years may come out a little lower than before. The payment of the card bill remains a transfer and still counts exactly once.
• You choose the decimal separator yourself in the import preview. Some card statements write three decimal places, and the dot then looked like a thousands separator: 53.10 became 53,100. If the amounts in the preview look wrong, switch it, the file is read again, and the choice carries over to the next statement in the same format.
• "Change only this transaction" now sits at the top of the category menu, as its own section above the list. With many categories the entry used to sit below the visible menu and only turned up when scrolling.
• In the transaction list, source and amount take less width and the description gets more. On a 14-inch screen it used to break off mid-word while the two narrowest columns had the most room to spare.

• This release is built with the macOS 27 SDK and tested on macOS 27. It still requires macOS 26, so it runs on both.
• The spending view calculated its monthly average over a window that reached into the future as soon as a transaction was dated ahead. Just as many real months dropped off the other end, and "avg. monthly spending" came out up to a quarter too low. The window now ends with the last month you have recorded, so the headline figure covers the same period as the curve beside it.
• The year switcher only appears where there is something to choose. If you have recorded a single year so far, transactions and spending no longer show a capsule holding that one, already selected year. It stays in the overview and net worth, where "All" sits next to it. It also stays complete when you switch between views, instead of cutting "All" off.
• The date in the transaction list follows the region you selected. In Switzerland, Germany and Austria it reads as before; any other region gets its own notation, the way the calendar in the transaction window has done all along.
• The message after an import separates the statement from the explanation. Until now the whole text stood in bold in the title, ten lines in a row for the longest ones.
• Under net worth, the monthly view shows its change even when the previous year ended below zero, and the total row while entering values counts archived positions. Both used to name a different figure than the table next to them.
• A second restore on the same day no longer overwrites the backup of the first one, its name now carries the time. After you delete an account, "Undo" also brings back its import suggestion.

• The category menu of a transaction now says in its title how many transactions your choice will affect, and offers "Change only this transaction…" below. Until now that only stood in the tooltip, which usually arrives after the click.
• The search in the transaction list can be limited to a single year: below the search field you get "All years" and the year from the title bar. The period also shows in the result count, and when nothing is found, a button takes you back to all years.
• Next to the search results you now see their balance: income, expenses and investments of the transactions found, with the net figure below. If you open a category where money moves both ways, you see both sides instead of only the spending.
• Table rows that open another view on double-click now say so in their right-click menu: "Show transactions in this category" under Spending, "Show months of 2025" under Net Worth.

• The Help menu now has two entries: the support page with file formats and common questions, and what's new in this version.
• Where a view is still empty, the next step sits right there as a button. Overview and Spending lead to the import, FIRE to your first monthly entry under Net Worth.
• With an empty year, the Spending view is laid out like the other views. The message sits in the middle of the area instead of at the top under the title.
• "Development over the years" only appears once there is a second year to compare. With a single year, the card just repeated the table above it.

• Parendi now has a fourth region for every country outside Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Currency and number format are taken from your Mac once (for example "Poland (PLN)" or "United States (USD)") and then stay fixed, even if the app later runs on a different Mac. You start with neutral categories and no country template; if you change your Mac's settings later, "Use Mac settings" in Settings picks up currency and format again.
• Statements with US dates (03/14/2024) are read correctly. Parendi infers the order from the values in the file; where they leave it open, the column dialog offers a "Month first" checkbox. A saved mapping keeps its order.
• The welcome screen fits the window without scrolling, and afterwards the app opens at its working size again, sidebar included.
• The two rings in the FIRE view move closer together and read as one graphic.
• The region list says "Switzerland" instead of "Switzerland / Liechtenstein"; Liechtenstein continues to use the same setting.

• Credit card statements without a debit/credit column (for example Cornèrcard or the PostFinance card) can now be imported as a card: the account picker in the import preview lists bank and card accounts, and choosing a card account makes Parendi read the file as a card statement right away, with debits as expenses and credits that do not count as income.
• Parendi remembers the choice for the next statement in the same format.
• Statements with a single amount column whose title names both credit and debit (Raiffeisen, BEKB) are recognised automatically again instead of ending up in the column dialog.
• A new account is now called "Bank account" or "Credit card" on the first import and can be renamed right there.

• Automatic backups end up in the iCloud folder "Parendi" again. On launch, a backup could be written inside the app instead, while Settings named iCloud as the target. The backup section now also shows which backup actually sits in the target folder.
• For asset positions, the detail view now explains why a position with recorded monthly values cannot be deleted, and that archiving is the way to retire it.

After a purchase, the section in Settings is called "Full version". It used to still say "Trial period" even though the status below it read "Purchased".

Fixes from the first day on the App Store.

• The figures next to the headline number (income, spending, investments and their counterparts in Spending, Net worth and FIRE) sit in their own column on the right again instead of below the text.
• "Save Backup…" (⌘B) writes the backup to any folder you choose. It used to fail with an error whenever the folder didn't belong to the app.
• "In Finder" for the backup folder reveals the folder.
