Pricing

Buy it once. Done.

One price, one purchase. There is no Pro tier and no feature waiting behind a second purchase. Other finance apps bill monthly because their bank connection costs them money monthly. This one has none.

CHF 30once
  • Every feature, no add-on purchases
  • 30 days to try it before you decide
  • Bought through the Mac App Store with your Apple Account payment method
  • The App Store sets the price in euros
Download on the Mac App Store

macOS 26 or later.

The trial starts when you do

Counting starts at the first import that worked. Download the app on a Friday, find time a fortnight later, and you still get your 30 days.

If that isn't enough, you extend it once by another 30 days in settings. That takes one click, with no form and no explanation.

The days left appear at the bottom of the sidebar in the final week. Exactly once, when the time is up, the app says so and then never mentions it again.

Afterwards

Read-only is not locked

If the trial ends and you don't buy, your numbers stay visible and usable. A finance app that holds data hostage is in the wrong line of work.

Stays open

  • Every report: overview, spending, fixed costs, net worth, FIRE
  • Searching, sorting, filtering
  • Copying tables with ⌘C
  • Backing up with ⌘B, and restoring
  • Changing language and appearance

Waits for the purchase

  • Importing new files
  • Creating, editing and deleting transactions
  • Changing categories and keywords
  • Maintaining accounts and net worth positions

Long term

What buying once means here

Fixes are included

Bug fixes, new bank formats and adjustments to macOS belong to the version you bought.

Major versions cost again

Roughly every two years there is a new major version as its own purchase. Until then the first purchase pays for the work, and software with no income eventually stops being maintained.

The old version stays yours

Don't want to upgrade? Keep using what you bought, indefinitely. It doesn't stop working and it doesn't demand a newer macOS.

No account, no activation

The purchase sits with your Apple Account. On a new Mac you download the app and restore the purchase.

Questions about buying

What happens to my data if I don't buy?

It stays where it is and you keep getting at it. Reports, copying and backups keep working after the trial. What you can't do is add new data.

Can I use the app on several Macs?

Yes, under Mac App Store rules: Macs belonging to your Apple Account. Your data travels with a backup, since there is no sync.

Are refunds possible?

App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, not by the developer. That is what the 30 days beforehand are for: the trial should answer the question before any money moves.

Why no subscription when everyone else has one?

A subscription would have to cover running costs. No server runs here that would cost something every month, and there is no bank connection either.

Any discounts?

No, the price is charged once and low enough that a second tier would only be paperwork.
